Preview of the Air Jordan XXX2 ‘MJ Day’ Release Date
The Air Jordan XXX2 ‘MJ Day’ will be one of the first colorways to release of the Air Jordan 32. Borrowing design elements from the Air Jordan 2, the ‘MJ Day’ edition pays homage to Michael Jordan violating the NBA rules when it came to sneakers back in 1984 which took place on October 18th. This will also be the day that Jordan Brand debuts the ‘MJ Day’ Air Jordan XXX2.
This Air Jordan XXX2 comes dressed in a Black and University Red color combination which mimics that of the classic Bred theme. Inspired by the Air Jordan 2, they feature ribbing on the collar and heel while Wings branding lands on the tongue. In addition we have pebbled leather on the sides and what appears to be the Jumpman logo on the midsole.
The Air Jordan 32 ‘MJ Day’ is scheduled to release at select Jordan Brand retailers on October 18th, 2017. Retail price will be $185. Below you can check out another teaser image. This Air Jordan XXX2 features a Gym Red and Black color combination. Inspired by the Air Jordan 2 which was produced in Italy, the Red used throughout is inspired by Italian racing cars. Featuring Black detailing on the laces, Wings branding on the tongue and Jumpman branding, we also have Red Suede on the overlay. On the insoles we have Launch buttons which ties back to racing cars.
2017/8/30 Update:The Air Jordan XXXII Is Yet Another Step Forward for the Brand
The Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the latest silhouette in Michael Jordan’s iconic signature line, the Air Jordan XXX2. Following in the steps of the Air Jordan 1 inspired Air Jordan XXX1, the 32 draws its inspiration from the Air Jordan 2.
While it mimics the Air Jordan 2’s retro model design, the 32 is built for the modern age of basketball sneakers and is the first signature Air Jordan model to feature a Flyknit upper alongside premium leathers.
The Air Jordan XXX2 pays homage to the AJ2 in numerous ways, such as the luxury leathers and shaping. The Peter Moore designed Air Jordan 2 launched in 1986 and went in a different direction after the Air Jordan 1 model. Jordan wanted a sneaker that could not only be played on the court but one that was crafted to be worn off the court. The brand went to Italy with the thought in mind to create the first luxurious basketball sneaker crafted with fine leathers. It forever changed how we look at style and performance models in today’s game.
“We’ve always explored new materials and technology to create the best game shoe,” Michael Jordan said in a press release. “That was evident when we went to Italy to make the II, and it still rings true today. On the XXXII, we challenged our designers to push the limits while staying true to the brand’s DNA.”
The Air Jordan 32 looks to be another major innovative step for the brand. It incorporates an unmasked Flyknit upper with high-tenacity yarn that combines stretch, support and zonal lockdown. The Flight Speed technology makes its return and has been a performance favorite due the explosive lift it gives players—see Russell Westbrook for an example.
“With Jordan shoes, we obsess the style in a way that puts many of the performance elements under the hood, so to speak,” said XXX2 designer, Tate Kuerbis. “For example, I wanted to make the laces just disappear into the knit structure, but inside there is a whole harness system with webbing that really locks down your foot.”
I tried on the Air Jordan XXXII a few weeks back, and it is arguably the most comfortable sneaker from the brand I have ever worn. The flyknit combined with the support from the heel pad makes it a beast on the court. As always, MJ had the last word on the sneaker and even forgot to take them off during a trial test before heading outside to the store. They are that comfortable.
I must say I love what the Jordan Brand is doing, drawing back from their rich history to create newer versions that are fit for today’s age. Prior to this current design inspiration model, the Air Jordan 30 lacked inspiration and didn’t really hit well with consumers. The Air Jordan XXX1 linked perfectly with the history of the Air Jordan 1, and the storytelling was refreshed for the younger generation that never knew what made the Air Jordan 1 such a special shoe. The XXX1 is one of the greatest basketball silhouettes of all-time and the XXXII has all the tools to be even better.
When asking if the Air Jordan XXX3 would draw inspiration from the Air Jordan 3, the brand designers looked at me and smirked. Nothing more.
For the first time, the Air Jordan XXXII will launch globally in a mid and low version. The AJ XXXII Rosso Corsa colorway will be available on Sept. 30 while the AJ XXXII Bred mid and lows launch Oct. 18.

2017/9/03 Update: Air Jordan 32 performance reviews
As the interview in the Guangzhou, Russell perfect well, especially the game with the local team . And he also share with a lot of skills .
The most amazing is Russell is humor and friendly .
Russ once again stressed that Air Jordan 32 is comfortable, and what makes him happy is that Air Jordan 32 utilized a new Flyknit upper with high-tenacity yarns that offers flexibility like never before .
When someone asks, “do you usually consider what you wear when you are going out ? then match your shoes, or turn on your shoes first and match your clothes?” Russ said funny : I will check the local weather and make decision .
He said that the Air Jordan 32 is excellent for player . Back in 1987 that standard was set with the debut of the Air Jordan II.Time and time again, Jordan Brand designers have designed a high-performance basketball shoe that can be equally effective in its beauty . Especially the new Flyknit .and a hidden lace harness that provides lockdown “under the hood”, while the actual design of the Flyknit material has been engineered to mimic the toe-box of the Air Jordan II. Paired with the engineered Flyknit is a molded snakeskin leather and molded suede panel with a detail at the achilles that resonates the sporty and aggressive vibe of a Ferrari supercar.
And for the traction ,It’s features the Flight Speed setup. it is modernized it with herringbone to make the traction even more badass. The grip is improve this time .
For the supporting ,the Flyknit upper is an astounding cushioning package that debuted with the Air Jordan 28; an arrangement of forefoot Zoom Air, heel Zoom Air, Flight Plate, and a herringbone traction offers on-court support like never before. The Flight plate actually did its job very well. Jordan Brand perfected the forefoot unlocked Zoom setup with the XX9 and XXX, especially for the Air Jordan32 , If they can make this setup feel as stable as past models with full length Zoom then the setup will quickly become a favorite from those that try it.
For fitting ,The Air Jordan 32 fits true to size but it’s a bit wide. The toe box is a bit squared, which is another trait that it shares with the Air Jordan 18. Some lace adjustments will be needed during your first couple of games to ensure you’re getting the best and most secure fit, but once you’ve found it there will still be a bit of room.you can buy over a half size
On October 18th, which Jordan Brand is marking as “MJ Day” as it marks the anniversary of Michael Jordan receiving the alleged “banned” letter from the NBA, will see the release of a classic “Bred” colorway with the Banned logo on inner tongue. For the first time ever, Jordan Brand will also launch the low version of the shoe on October 18th.
