Nike Kyrie Low Performance Review

The basketball fans should know well Owen’s playing way. His main offensive weapon is elusory breakthrough. But in traditional impression, the breakthrough players normally choose low shoes of Korbe series, due to the light weight crural feeling and the freedom of heel. But the 4 pairs of signature shoes that NIKE provided to Owen are middle shoes. It mainly consider for improving the protection of heels.

Kyrie Low is the first pair of low shoes of main generation series. Like previous Kyrie SI Hybrid, this pair of low shoes is composed of the advantages of previous series.

Apperance:

Kyrie Low chooses the popular fabric and hot-melt vamp texture. And there is invisible crashworthy shoe head. The uplift of stabilizer on heelpiece is similar to Owen 1st generation. The most noticeable velcro also use the same design.

 

 

As a pair of main generation shoes, Kyrie Low’s details don’t showed many Owen’s elements. The show tongue and inner side have Owen’s exclusive logo.

Actual playing experience:
What about the cushion? We can see a design like two dart boards on the outsole. That’s just the two detached front and back ZOOM cushions. You will feel very comfortable cushion when wearing the shoes, due to adding the ZOOM cushions. The rear cushion can reduce the impact force when the feet drop down the ground.

However, maybe due to the stiff Phylon midsole, I can’t feel dual-ZOOM cushions experience immediately when wearing the shoes. After a period of adjustment, it can be realized. It seems that I need to do some practices, then I can know its high quality cushion.

For the capacity of traction, the texture of outsole use independent separation of straight lines, and it arrays differently on the area where is easy to wear and tear. No matter how to change directions, stop urgently or start, it can provide stable traction from all directions. But it’s a problem for the abrasive resistance. The texture of independent separation and soft is easy to fall out when playing.

Due to the stiff midsole, the torsion performance of the shoes is not excellent. But when wearing the shoes, you won’t feel stiffly. The flexibility of this shoes are still excellent.

As a pair of low shoes, the size of 42 Kyrie Low is about 360g. It’s light.

Although Kyrie Low use fabric vamp and mesh ventilated shoes tongue, I still feel stuffiness after a period of time of actual playing experience. It may due to the wrapping performance.

Wrapping performance should be the most outstanding advantage of this pair of Low shoes.The thick inner filling and the heel stabilizer warp the heel well. It doesn’t easy to slide. The design of lacing system and velcro refer to Owen 2nd generation. Comparing with the position of Owen 2nd generation’s velcro, Low’s velcro is under anklebone. The ankle won’t feel constraint.

By the cooperation of shoelaces and velcro, the midsole and forefoot are absolutely still even big movement. Although the design of velcro is perfect,  the shoelaces are still not very good like Owen 2nd generation.

Generally, this pair of Kayrie Low as the first pair of low shoes of the main generations, the overall design is simple and agile. This pair of basketball shoes combines many advantages of previous generations. The flexible and light advantages match well with the impression of low shoes. After actual playing, we can find that the front and back ZOOM cushion is better than the main generation shoes.

Comparing with the same price of shoes in the market, the cost performance of Kyrie Low is good. If you are looking for a pair of shoes with flexiblity and stable sense of feet, Kyrie Low will be a good choice for you.

Kryie 4 VS Kryie 3 VS Kryie 2 ,Which is the best ?

The Kyrie 4 is the latest edition of Kyrie Irving‘s blockbuster shoe and, for the latest edition, Nike wanted to make sure that the shoe kept on evolving,then compare  with last version of Kyrie 2. and Kyrie  3， which one is the best ？

Nethongkome broke down some of the issues and challenges when it came to designing a shoe for the premier ball-handler, noting in the piece that “being able to pivot off my spot and have balance in the shoe, regardless of where my foot hits the court, is essential.”The new model is built from a blend of nubuck and mesh that is supported by Nike’s Flywire technology. A multi-material upper is swathed in black and boasts a big Swoosh logo on both medial sides. A thick midsole sports an “Anthracite” color-scheme that is speckled with light blue and purple accents, with those same colors found on Kyrie’s signature logo on the tongue tab. A white tractioned outsole that is reminiscent of the Kyrie 1 — due to its zig-zag design

For  the Kryie 4,the materials along the upper and  engineered mesh is featured at the forefoot and that provides you with a lightweight material that requires hardly any break-in time.Though the nylon is glued to around  which restricts all of the air flow, but in turn it strengthens the material.For the Kyrie 2 , it also to use the mesh fabric with woven that  give us more supporting and it also durable. For the Kyrie 3 ,Mesh is the primary feature at the toe and midfoot to heel. Meanwhile the flex zone at the forefoot is a foam reinforced with Flywire. The main difference between the Kyrie 2 and 3 comes from the materials,this setup is far greater than the one we received in the Kyrie 2.

For the cushioning : Not only is Cushlon used, but it makes up the entire midsole.  is it improved ? Usually Cushlon is implemented with a Phylon carrier to the softer/bouncier foam mixture, but not this one just dont do that . The midsole is still on the thin side (at the forefoot) so the bounce-back that Cushlon usually offers is minimized, but much like adidas’ Bounce, this setup proved to be a well balanced offering of cushioning and court feel.

For the Kyrie 2, it is simply and it focus on the court feeling ,speed and the change of direction, but is  you want to the cushioning that which stay way or great ,maybe it is not the best one.

For the Kyrie 3,The Kyrie 3 has no cushion aside from the heel Zoom Air unit. Not sure why anyone would be mad at me for that. Court feel is the primary focus here.Some players  enjoy this type of setup, so if that happens to be you, then you’ll likely enjoy these a lot.  It is amazon that the shoe’s heel Zoom unit  that you crash down on your heel after a rebound, jump-stop, landing etc. it work well.

For the traction : Traction on the Kyrie 4 is comprised of multi-directional herringbone ,it  my favorite traction which  are aggressive yet traditional; this one mixes a little bit of the old with a little bit of the new.For the Kyrie 2, the traction just simply and plain,but the grip is nice , the court feeling also nice ,then it can stay outdoor for a long time .For the kyrie 3,Aggressive herringbone is featured from heel to toe along with two multi-directional pods. These pods are intended to allow the wearer to grip the court while swiftly changing direction while the herringbone covers linear movements.Near perfection is the simplest way to describe the setup and while most would applaud a brand for using such a pattern, it only has me scratching my head wondering why this isn’t just how traction is.

For the supporting ,Kyrie 3 with the rubber outsole’s exaggerated “teeth” offer a similar feel. The teeth wrap up and around the forefoot to stabilize the Cushlon a bit while also slightly caging the forefoot.

Kyrie 3 with  internal shank is at the midfoot for some minor torsional support while the heel has an internal heel counter.the supporting is great .

For the Kyrie 2, it is just so so ,I am a little worry that there are something supporting if without the support by material .

Overall，there are some different for the Kyri4,3,2, but we can still feeling the sprit and the quality is nice , so which one is best ? we are not sure ,it is up to you , whats your required ?

Nike Kyrie 4 Performance Review

For the Nike Kyrie 4 , we can see a lot of  info and performance reviews on the internet ,especially recently there have a lot of colorways to released .  Today we will talking about this one

As we know ,the designer, who was born in Thailand and moved to Miami at age 10, spends a lot of time watching Irving.after nine years of working on a variety of basketball projects, Nethongkome was given the nod to take the helm of Irving’s signature line. so he will know Irving well

 

For the material . compare with the Kyrie 3 ,it is better , kyrie 3 will be harder m but the Kyrie 4  is good to improve this situation, the 4 generation of the toe of Erwin “suede material”,

For my personal experience , this material  have  been long the service life of the shoes no matter with  inside or outside .   because we will do some  move which will be wear out sometimes ,so the toe will be used  suede material that more durability and soft .So we can not feel the hurt or uncomfortable when playing . If you looked at all the classic Nikes, each silhouette starts as a performance innovation. Shoes become icons, but originate as purposeful things.  So thats why  shoes performance has driven his career trajectory ,rather than pure style. Also it the specific demands of Irving . The designers are all good design challenges.

The tongue part is slightly low, a moderate thickness of the reticulated foam filler, and it is comfortable and breathable, we can found that the Kyrie is  really very nice .

The various material of the shoe upper gives the excellent stability of kyrie  4, which is the performance was meet with the required of Irving .

As I mentioned before, the ductility of the  upper engineering mesh material is not good, it is a direct result of wrapping is not so strong, but it is still work .After all, with the the special lace system design ,so it is good and nice .

The midsole  cushion was used the Zoom , and finally I can feel it when playing , and cushlon foam forefoot are  soft elastic silk which used between forefood, it is  just perfect,this is really nicer then  really  3 , that is what my favorite one .

For cushioning :the design team brought Cushlon back into the fold ,maybe that is  a lot of people  been waiting on for a very long time. Not only is Cushlon used, but it makes up the entire midsole. it is not like the previous shoe that the Cushion is implemented with a Phylon carrier to the softer/bouncier foam mixture, that is the best changes for the kyrie 4. this setup proved to be a well balanced offering of cushioning and court feel.We can feel films with smaller budgets tend to have greater impact and story telling even though they have to stretch a limited budget. it is perfect.

for traction :Kyrie 4 is used the  multi-directional herringbone which  more improve the griping . that is one of my favorite part when traction patterns are aggressive yet traditional; this one mixes a little bit of the old with a little bit of the new.And this type of coverage worked really well on a variety of courts and conditions. even the out dirty court, it is also performance well .  Although the outsoles started off a bit slick the first couple of nights. That made wiping the outsoles something that wasn’t required very often.I can feel it is better the the kyrie 3 . This traction pattern worked really nicely

For supporting :The teeth wrap up and around the forefoot to stabilize and offer the supporting , it is nice .

Overall ,the Nike Kyrie 4 is Nike’s best shoes in 2017  . Its very well-rounded on all fronts in a way that makes the Kyrie 4 more like a Hyperdunk. good cushioning and material , the nice supporting , alll of these are perfect .
